FILE/DESIGN PREPARATIONS
1.Files
should be sized exactly for the album type you are ordering. For
example: a 12x15 Horizontal album should be designed as a 12x30
hw in full spread. Save your file at 300dpi JPG at level 10 high
qualities in sRGB format for the best results. If you use INGESIGN save spreads at baseline standard and maximum quality.
2. For Digital Albums Spreads, you can have full images bleed out to the edges. we trim approximately 1/8’’ on all sides. You can set a “Safe Margin” of 1/4’’ on all sides of the spread. Remember not to put anything important past the safe margin. Avoid cutting faces at the centre line. For Duet Album the minimum distance between apertures and between apertures along the edge of the page should be 10mm. Please note that when designing the Duet Album, you can design a spread as a half full edge to edge digital page and half matted page or mix a full matted spread or full digital spread in the same album.
3. All image files should be colour corrected before uploading. A good tip is to sequence the number of each image as you
upload them i.e. (paul_and_emma_01.jpg). The number sequence is very important, as it will appear the album as the order.
4. Create a folder with your studio name of the project you are working on (i.e xphotography_paul_emma_12x15). You can then send all your zip files via our upload link or send your DVD/CD via post. Remember to include the sized image you wish to use for the album cover and label appropriately. For Duet Album, Please also include the first page motif design.
